It is also used as the field level office of the Upazila Election Officer and Upazila Server Station of the Bangladesh Election Commission Secretariat. This office conducts elections to the National Assembly, prepares voter lists for elections, redefines constituencies, conducts other elections as prescribed by law (including all local government councils such as Union Parishads, Upazila Parishads) and performs ancillary functions. At present, apart from election related work, he also works on national identity card.
The services provided by the National Identity Card are as follows:

1) Corrects errors and data of national identity card.

2) Provides reprint of lost or destroyed national identity card.

3) New voter registration.

4) Change of place means change of voters from one place to another.

5) Provide national identity card and provide verified online copy.

6) All the work related to updating the voter list.
